Flo/Lucas & Hunt.\n\nWhen he got there he called me to say he was walking to my home to wait because I live nearby.\n\nI took him back around noon, he said the truck had been moved so he thought it was done and went in to pay because he had to be to work at 2pm.\n\nHe called a few minutes later and said it had not been done. I asked him did he know why.\nHe said they only had one mechanic and they had to call the police on a customer.\n\nThe purpose of an appt is so you don't have to wait three hours after your appt time.\n\nWhen they finally got around to doing the inspection you know how it goes. They failed the safety and quoted a high price to fix it and he was late for work.\nThe next day he got a quote from a different shop that was half the price.\n\nIt seemed like an attempt to gouge because Carx knows when they lock a customer in on a failed inspection they have to come back to them like a forced relationship.\n\nFranchises (Carx,Dobbs,Jiffy etc) tend to be profit driven and not customer friendly or customer service oriented. So I'm not sure why he chose to go there. I have lived here for 22 years and have never gone there.\n\nMy son is laid back and would never write a review.\nHowever, I think it's important for customers to know other customer experiences so they can make an informed decision and for company improvement.\n\nWhen he goes back we will see how it goes. Hopefully, I can come back and modify this review with something more positive.","relative_time":"a month ago","published_at":"2026-07-26T18:24:39.000Z"},{"author_name":"Byron Freeman","author_url":"https://www.google.com/maps/contrib/102474214609138766336/reviews","rating":1,"text":"I came there for a safety inspection and emissions test. I got an oil change that I didn’t schedule for. I did get the safety and emissions test done. I had to pay for some thing I didn’t ask for. What if I didn’t have the money to pay for all that. And someone didn’t put my center chrome cap properly on the rim. It came off somewhere while I was driving home. Lost that. More unnecessary money out my pocket. All I got was an apology. I will never go there again. I was a faithful customer. Not anymore. I will be putting my review on yelp.
