Upon arrival there was 1 person working. I reiterated the issue and Vincent eventually took my vehicle in.  5 hours later I picked the vehicle up only to discover the issue had not only not be addressed, it had not been detected by the technician and my vehicles status report stated \"passed\".  4 miles down the road I experienced the same issue that I went in with. Flash forward 3 weeks and very scary drive up north and back, because surely if my vehicle \"passed\" it was safe to drive, I discover there was a MAJOR recall on this vehicle because of this very issue.  I made 2 phone calls, one to the Service Manager, Nick, and 1 to the General Manager, Clay, to discuss this issue.  I then waited 5 and 3.5 days for return phone calls.  Neither returned my call.  I then went in to the dealership, unannounced, and requested to speak to Nick.  Once with Nick, I requested an immediate meeting with Clay.  After approximately 10 minutes the three of us gathered in Clay's office and I expressed my dissatisfaction with the initial assessment and outcome of my service appointment.  I then expressed my dissatisfaction in learning of the recall, which has now turned in to a Federal investigation. This is where it got ugly.  Both \"Managers\" failed miserably at managing anything.  They were not concerned about the quality of service, customer safety, vehicle quality, reputation, experience, or anything you would expect from this type of situation. No.  They immediately took the position of deflection, defensiveness, bullying, and raised their voices, so I raised mine back. They told me it is not their job to know about recall issues, it is not their job to tell customers about recall issues, it is not their job to dig further if they cannot figure out the issue with your vehicle.  The General Manager, Clay, told me \"that's not how it works\".  Is that right? Good to know West Hills Mazda AND West Hills Ford GENERAL MANAGER and West Hills Mazda SERVICE MANAGER do not think it is their, or Service Technicians jobs to know about recalls or known issues with vehicles they sell, know how to fix a problem that isn't spelled out for them on a computer screen, or inform customers of known issues. Nor do they have any desire to educate themselves or their staff by staying abreast of current events regarding the product line they are selling and servicing.  Absolutely abysmal business practices let alone customer service.  Useless management equals useless staff equals USELESS.  Stay clear.
